The problem this solves
Every apparel business ends up holding stock it cannot sell in its current state. E-commerce returns that came back creased and untagged. End-of-season inventory sitting in cartons since March. A cancelled order with the wrong labels. Seconds that need twenty minutes of work each and nobody to do it.
Sending it back through manufacturing is uneconomic. Writing it off is expensive. The gap between those two options is where refinishing lives — and for most brands it is the difference between recovering most of the value and recovering none of it.
What the service covers
We provide garment refinishing, refurbishment and reconditioning for after-sale loose pieces, returned merchandise, end-of-season inventory, surplus stock and garments needing finishing before resale or dispatch.
Services include sorting, quality checking, stain and spot treatment, ironing and steam pressing, trimming, tagging, repacking and cartonisation. The objective is to restore the garment's presentation and make it ready for resale, redistribution, export or further processing.
The ten-step process
Every lot goes through the same sequence. Nothing is skipped because a lot looked fine on arrival.
Receiving and quantity verification
Merchandise is received and quantities verified against your delivery documents before anything is opened.
Sorting and segregation
Garments are sorted by style, SKU, size, colour, condition and the treatment each one needs.
Quality and defect inspection
Stains, wrinkles, loose threads, missing trims, damaged labels and packing issues are identified and recorded.
Spotting and cleaning
Where required, spot treatment or minor cleaning is carried out — always against the garment's fabric and care instructions.
Steam pressing and ironing
Professional ironing and steam pressing to restore the garment's appearance and presentation.
Trims and label replacement
Approved tags, labels, price tickets, size stickers and other trims are replaced or refitted as instructed.
Folding and presentation
Garments are folded to your required method and presentation standard, not to ours.
Poly-bagging and repacking
Individual packing, replacement of damaged packaging and application of the required labels and barcodes.
Final QC
A final inspection for workmanship, presentation, quantity and packing compliance before anything is cartoned.
Packing and dispatch
Carton packing, carton marking and handover for dispatch or onward distribution.
Capacity and facility
A dedicated refinishing facility is being commissioned in Bhiwandi. The initial operation is structured around 12 ironing and finishing tables with trained operators and supervisors, and is designed to scale with order volume.
Actual daily capacity depends on the garment category, the condition of the lot, the finishing requirement and how much rework is involved — which is why we prefer to see the goods, or photographs of them, before committing to a number.

Quality control and reconciliation
Quality control runs at multiple stages, not only at the end. The checks cover garment appearance, pressing quality, stain and spot treatment, loose threads and minor defects, correct trims and labels, correct folding, packing quality, SKU, size and colour segregation, and quantity reconciliation.
Where required we provide lot-wise QC and reconciliation reports showing received quantity, processed quantity, rejected or held quantity, and dispatched quantity. For anyone responsible for stock, that reconciliation is usually the part that matters most.
How it is priced
Services are priced per piece, per operation, per lot or on a slab basis, depending on the assignment. Pricing can include or separately identify each of these lines, so you can see exactly what you are paying for and drop anything you do not need:
- Sorting
- Inspection
- Ironing and pressing
- Spotting and cleaning
- Trim and tag replacement
- Folding
- Poly-bagging
- Packing material
- Packing in cartons
- Storage, where applicable
- Special handling and rework
For large volumes we can structure a customised commercial package.
Who this is for
Fashion and apparel brands
End-of-season inventory, cancelled orders and stock needing presentation work before it goes back out.
E-commerce and reverse logistics
Returns processing at volume, with the reconciliation your finance team needs.
Retailers and distributors
Stock coming back from stores or channel partners in mixed condition.
Manufacturers and exporters
Overruns, seconds and lots that failed a buyer inspection on presentation rather than construction.
Importers
Consignments that arrived creased, mislabelled or repacked badly at origin.
Stock-lot and surplus traders
Mixed lots that need sorting and grading before they can be sold on.
The service is particularly useful where garments need to be reconditioned and made sale-ready without going back through the full manufacturing process.
Before-and-after photography
Photographs from the Bhiwandi floor will be published here once the unit is running — wrinkled garment, loose tag, damaged polybag on one side; pressed, correctly tagged, neatly folded, fresh polybag and carton-ready on the other.
Until then we would rather show you nothing than show you somebody else's floor.
